Visitor Policy

Interview with Jamie

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Jamie: Usually once a week my sister and kids would come.Occasionally social workers or my husbands family

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Jamie: Yes and there were very specific rules by which they went through. They had to check in early and wait for long periods of time as though they were the criminals

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Jamie: My family dreaded visiting because each time they came they gave them a hard time about something. Even my kids who absolutely had nothing to do with anything. We spoke through thick glass on a phone until someone came in and threw them out

can you buy phone cards with commessary money?

What is the procedure to visiting someone in jail. Do I need to fill out an application first and can I get that on line and print off?
